# Why Football?

Football is undeniably the most widely followed sport in the world in terms of audience and viewership. It is estimated that more than 4 billion people actively follow the sport globally.

The football audience goes far beyond simply watching matches or supporting teams. The fantasy football market alone is valued at approximately $8 billion, while the global football wagering economy is estimated at around $73 billion. Additionally, the total market cap of football-related fan tokens stands at $1.9 billion. These figures are expected to double within the next decade.

As these numbers clearly indicate, football fans represent a massive demographic one that is willing to take risks, eager to demonstrate their knowledge of the game, and open to investing in their passion.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://the-project-scout.gitbook.io/scout/getting-started/why-football.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
