# Utilities

### IBO Participation

$SCOUT will be the core token of the IBO (Initial Baller Offering) process. Holding $SCOUT will be a prerequisite for participation. Investor eligibility to purchase footballer pieces will be determined by a tiered system based on both the number of tokens held and the duration of holding. Eligibility grants the right to an allocation but does not cover the cost of the footballer pieces. Once an investor qualifies for an IBO, they must complete the purchase by paying the required amount using their preferred payment method.

### Piece Holder Utilities

$SCOUT holders will play a key role in The Project Scout. Holders will enjoy unique benefits, including the opportunity to meet and spend time with the footballers they support. They will also have voting power to influence specific aspects of a footballer’s career, such as celebration styles, hairstyles, and other selected decisions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://the-project-scout.gitbook.io/scout/getting-started/utilities.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
